The scenes filmed at the “Terrifier” haunted house were filmed at a real haunted house called the Fright Factory in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The filmmakers used what was already available to them. The German DVD and Blu-ray releases from Tiberius Film are cut by about three minutes to meet the “Not Under 18” rating (this was necessary because the guidelines for video releases are stricter than for theatrical releases). Basically all of the violent scenes have been shortened to tone down the violence. So I went in expecting it to be in the same format as the first one. A psychopathic clown meets some strangers and horrifically dispatches them over the course of 90 minutes. That wasn’t the case. Don’t get me wrong, the brutality was cranked up to the max and they made it a little funnier. But there were some really drawn out scenes. And I thought they did this to build a plot and story that was worth watching. They even included plot elements that initially made it seem like this was going to be a great sequel. But when the credits rolled, no questions were answered, no plot was resolved. This is so disappointing that I could really go on and on about it, but why bother?
